The product
What does Crystal WMS cover?
The whole store, from the gate to the truck: vehicle entry, yard and docks, goods receipt, quality inspection with sampling, put-away, bin-level inventory, cycle counts, transfers, replenishment, issue to production, finished goods, picking, packing, dispatch and returns. Labels, handheld scanning, traceability, approvals, reports and ERP integration run across all of it.
Is it only for warehouses, or for plant stores too?
Both. It was built for manufacturing plants, where the store feeds production and receives finished goods back, so raw material stores, finished goods stores and MRO spares stores all run on the same system and the same stock ledger.
Can one installation run several plants and warehouses?
Yes. The hierarchy is company, plant, warehouse, zone, aisle, rack and bin, and users are scoped to the warehouses they work in. Inter-plant transfers move stock between warehouses and track it in transit.
Why is quality inspection separate from the GRN?
Because receiving and inspection move at different speeds. The GRN is generated when the goods are received; inspection runs as its own process with its own status, sample size and verdict, and only accepted quantity goes on to put-away.

On the floor
What handhelds and scanners does it work with?
Crystal WMS runs in the browser, so it works on Android handheld scanners and phones without an app-store install. USB and Bluetooth scanners work as keyboard input, and the device camera can scan too.
What happens when the Wi-Fi drops?
Scans made while the network is down are kept on the device and sent when it reconnects, so a dead spot in the racks doesn't stop work.
Which label printers are supported?
Thermal printers that take ZPL, such as Zebra and TSC, through a print agent on your network, at the label size you set per warehouse. Documents such as gate passes and delivery challans print as PDF.
Do we need to label every bin?
Yes, and Crystal WMS prints those labels from the location master. Bins carry a QR code with their address, pallets a GS1-128 barcode and items Code 128, so every scan resolves to the right thing.
03
ERP and integration
Does it work with SAP and Tally?
Yes. Crystal WMS posts goods receipts, issues, production receipts, dispatches, returns, transfers and stock adjustments to SAP or Tally, and pulls purchase orders, sales orders and work orders from them. A custom REST adapter covers other ERPs.
What if the ERP is down?
The warehouse keeps working. The transaction completes in Crystal WMS, the failed post is logged in the integration monitor and the exceptions queue, and it can be retried once the ERP is back.
Does it connect to Crystal MES?
Yes. Released work orders arrive in the warehouse, operation progress updates WIP, and a closed work order can trigger the finished goods receipt. Other MES products can connect through the same interface.
Can it read our weighbridge?
Yes, over RS-232 serial or a TCP connection, for gross and tare weights at dispatch. If the weighbridge can't be reached, the weight can be entered by hand.

Deployment and buying
Where does Crystal WMS run?
On-premise: on a server in your plant or your group's data centre, so your stock data stays on your network and the floor doesn't depend on an internet connection.
How is it priced?
Crystal WMS is quoted for your scope: the flows and modules you need, your plants and warehouses, and the integrations you want. Book a call and we'll put a written quote together.
How do we get our existing data in?
Item masters and warehouse configuration (zones, racks and bins) come in by bulk upload from spreadsheets, with errors shown row by row. Purchase orders, sales orders and work orders can be pulled from your ERP, and how opening stock comes across is planned with you during setup.
Can we start with one flow?
Yes. Many plants start with receiving, put-away and inventory in one warehouse, then add production issue, dispatch and counting. Everything shares one stock ledger, so each new flow builds on the last.
How long does it take to go live?
It depends on the scope, the number of warehouses and the integrations, so the timeline is part of the quote rather than a number we print here.
